Welle 1

Zentrum Paul Klee, 2019

Nowadays medium waves are an almost forgotten pheomenon in the history of radios. Receiving such waves is dependent on several different factors like the time of the day or the weather.

The performance “Wave 1” is based on building a medium wave antenna by using a laundry rack. In a second step it is also about receiving a radio station and sending interference signals back to the radio. Finally, the work represents the conversion of everyday items which can always be used for different purposes at the same time. So, while the antenna is restricted according to its function, it receives new possibilities of being used.
